虎年春节到来，人间山河春暖。天下杭电人，无论您身处何方，无论您去向何处，请收下学校捎来的新春祝愿。过去一年，我们与岁月竞跑，留下卓越足迹；新的一年，我们与时代奋进，誓写铿锵新篇。

With the Spring Festival of Tiger and the warm spring right around the corner, we would like to extend our New Year greetings to all the Hduers, no matter where you are or go. The past year has witnessed a fruitful journey of HDU, and the new year will see a glorious new chapter in its history.

岁月如流，雄关如铁。风华百年，千秋伟业。

Years go by like water and the great pass seems unconquerable, but past hardships and achievements will make a great future.

2021年，杭电好声音传遍四方。获批集成电路科学与工程、数学、信息与通信工程三个一级学科博士授权点，牵头完成6项浙江省自然科学奖一等奖、科技进步奖一等奖和哲学社会科学一等奖。“一带一路”中奥联合实验室镌刻上杭电名字，责任在肩干劲也更足。杭电科技人，厚积薄发再攀新高。

Good news came one after another in 2021. HDU was entitled to offer doctoral degrees in IC Science and Engineering, Mathematics, and Information and Communication Engineering. Moreover, it took the lead in the completion of six first prizes of Zhejiang Natural Science Award, Science and Technology Progress Award, and Philosophy and Social Science Award. Its engagement in “the Belt and Road Initiative” Sino-Austrian Joint Laboratory gives us responsibility and motivation. Faculty and students in science and technology have been building on their strengths to new heights.

2021年，杭电正能量持续凝聚。马克思主义学院研究生党支部入选全国高校“百个研究生样板支部；继电路与系统教师团队之后，杭电信息安全与保密教师团队再度入选全国黄大年式教师团队；杭电党委入选第二批全省高校党建工作示范高校创建单位。党史学习教育，进一步让杭电人明确了使命，矢志在“国家大事千万尽力”中贡献新的力量。杭电人胸怀“国之大者”，以党建引领教育，为家国伟业不懈奋斗。

HDU continued to raise positive energy in 2021. The postgraduate party branch of the School of Marxism was listed as one of the “100 model postgraduate branches”. The teaching team of  Information Security and Sonfidentiality was selected as the national Huang Danian-style teaching team once again, following the team of Circuits and Systems. The Party Committee of HDU was chosen as the second batch of model university units for party construction work in Zhejiang. The study and education of party history further made Hduers understand their mission and determined to make new contributions to “national key events”. With the “greatness of the country” in mind, Hduers lead education by party building and make unremitting efforts for the great causes of our country.

2021年，杭电人追求卓越、聚能发光。骆建军教授主持的项目获得国家科技进步二等奖，他主持研发固态存储硬盘“中国芯”的事迹，振奋了所有杭电人。国内劲旅杭电ACM战队，在国际大学生程序设计竞赛中成绩创历史新高。补星莹同学以“9门满分，49次满绩”的骄人成绩保送清华。追梦不怠的杭电师生，是“YYDS”。

In 2021, Hduers have pursued excellence and become shining stars. Professor Luo Jianjun won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. His research on and development of the “Chinese Chip”, a solid-state storage hard disk, has inspired all Hduers. Our ACM team achieved record-high results in the International Collegiate Programming Contest . Bu Xingying was recommended for admission to Tsinghua University with the impressive achievement of “9 full marks and 49 full GPAs.” The teachers and students of HDU who pursue their dreams with perseverance are the brightest stars.

一入杭电门，终生杭电人。杭电未必能给你最好的，但愿为你向世界、向未来搭起云梯。经过一代代杭电人的努力，今天的杭电，在你我不懈努力和奋斗之中，综合实力进一步增强，社会声誉进一步提升。天下杭电人，秉承“笃学力行守正求新”校训精神，怀揣梦想、化岁月为奋斗诗歌，为更美好的杭电和未来而接续奋斗。

Life at HDU will last a lifetime. It might not offer you the best in the world but will provide you with a ladder to the world and the future. Thanks to the ongoing efforts of generations of Hduers, HDU has further enhanced its comprehensive strength and reputation. Adhering to the motto of “learning and practising diligently and abiding by the right and seeking new”, Hduers worldwide are striving for a better HDU and a better future.

时针不停，江河不息。杭电人有特有基因，我们相信“幸福是双手创造出来的”，我们更笃定“美好未来的种子已经在校园内、在你我心中滋长”。以星辰大海之名，赴壮阔时代之约。“两个一百年”奋斗目标历史交汇点，全面建设社会主义现代化国家新征程上，我们大有作为，我们大有可为。此时此刻，我们想说，在不平凡的2021，大家辛苦了，你们的奋斗汗水和收获果实，也是最甘醇的年味。

Time will never stop. We Hduers have our unique genes. We believe that “our hands create happiness”, and we are confident that “the seeds of a better future have grown on campus and in our hearts”. We will have bright prospects and make significant contributions at the historical crossroads of the “Two Centenary Goals” and on the new journey of comprehensively building a modern socialist country. At this moment, we would like to say that everyone has worked hard in the great year of 2021, and your sweat and harvest are also the sweetest taste of the year.

青山一道，明月同乡。值此新春佳节到来之际，我们向离退休老同志致敬！大家一定要常回校看看。

Wherever we are, our hearts are connected. On the occasion of the Spring Festival, we would like to salute our retirees. Welcome back.

我们向全球杭电校友致敬，2022年亚运，杭电是击剑比赛赛场，你们也是“东道主”，欢迎一道见证竞技风流。我们向全体教职员工致敬，你们的不负韶华，浇灌出杭电的美好如斯。

We would like to pay tribute to our alumni all over the world. In the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, fencing will be held at HDU, and you will be the host of the event. We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to our faculty and staff for making HDU a wonderful place by living up to your youth.

我们向学生家长及社会各界旧友新朋致敬，感谢你们的信任和支持，我们一直并将继续证明，你们的厚爱是对的。

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the parents of our students and our old and new friends from all walks of life for your trust and support. We have and will continue to prove that we deserve your love.

我们向广大杭电学子，尤其是寒假因疫情留在校园过年、或在备战竞赛的同学们拜年，大家辛苦了。

We would like to extend our New Year greetings to all of our students, especially those who stay on campus due to the epidemic or upcoming competitions.

征程万里阔，踔厉再向前。人不负韶华，韶华定不负你我。我们用过去一年的汗水，浇出春节最浓郁的年味。春节，也是每个杭电人表达爱、感恩爱的日子。我们给大家拜年：衷心祝愿大家在虎虎生风的新一年，学业进步、梦想蓬勃，万事顺吉、阖家康乐。  

We will move forward through vigours and endeavours in the long journey. If we do not fail Youth, Youth shall never fail us. We have watered the most pungent flavour of Chinese New Year with the sweat of the past year. The Spring Festival is also a time for every Hduer to express their love and gratitude. We wish you all a vigorous Year of Tiger and all the best as you wish.
