Lab Safety | 拧紧“安全阀”，牢记“安全法”

On November 12, GTIIT EHS Office organized a lab gas safety training to share the operation with GTIIT teachers and students who were going to use lab gas. They learned about the national regulations and requirements, lab daily inspection, operation methods and abnormal situation treatment, laying a solid safety foundation for the correct gas use in the lab.

After the theoretical study, the teachers and students came to the safety training room to learn about the gas supply methods and the use of emergency equipment.

Under the joint efforts of GTIIT EHS Office and the undergraduate lab teachers, the Lab Safety Courseware was officially launched in May 2020. Through a series of high-quality lab safety training and testing courses, it provides a powerful learning tool for teachers and students to be familiar with the operation under laboratory safety guidance.

Up to now, 1124 experimenters have participated in the online Mandatory Safety Training:

• General laboratory safety training

• General safety training of chemical laboratory

• General safety training of biological laboratory

Six types of safety training and testing are set up for all kinds of experimental equipment and special requirements:

• Experimental hazard analysis

• Safe use of gas

• Laboratory waste management

• Personal protective equipment introduction

• Safety management requirements for controlled chemicals

• Laboratory emergency response
